Anita Glucinas passion for nature is
reflected in a quiet observation of objects, textures and forms.
The resulting explorations have been expressed in several ways. Her
detailed landscape and nature reliefs of carefully patinated plaster and
colour washes rediscover the qualities of a humble yet traditional
sculpting and decorating technique.
Another cue taken from nature
is the play of light and shadow and the
transformational power of this when translated into an Interior. The
resulting ceramic lamps, pierced nearly
to breaking point, project intricate, lace
like patterns on to surrounding walls and ceilings.
Anita`s theme of the NZ environment
continues to provide inspiration for works in other forms, media and
collaborative projects.
