The Tiki has become a beloved New Zealand Icon, steeped in traditional Maori beliefs and legends. While exploring visual ideas for the Tiki we drew on various other traditions reflecting our cultural origins of Chinese, European and Maori. In particular Chinese papercuts and calligraphy helped inspire a unique approach to these Tiki's.
