The start of a new series of drawings, based on the luxurious perfume bottle. 600 x 450mm pastel, crayon and ink on paper. Started in the last week of June 2011
I first used this technique in the mid 1980`s, interest has been recently rekindled in this medium, the intensity of working gives a great respite to everyday pressures and gives a great contrast to the exacting nature of producing ceramic and resin objects which often go through 8 stages before being finished. The drawings and paintings on the other hand give an immediate result.
My all time favourite has to be Viktor Rolf Flower Bomb and the bottles from Juicy Culture remind me of the Vintage fragrance bottles with a twist. Seductive and fun
